Why We Built Our Own Cloud
We started as a software company. We built applications for clients and then had to host them somewhere. The big cloud providers charged unpredictable bills, made simple things complicated, and buried support behind ticket queues. So we built our own infrastructure.
Carpathian Cloud runs on compute nodes we own in a Midwest datacenter. Not resold AWS capacity with a markup. Not a white-labeled dashboard on top of someone else's platform. Actual hardware we manage, in a facility we have physical access to. When something goes wrong, we don't open a ticket with a vendor. We walk over and fix it.

Same price whether your VM sits idle on a Sunday morning or runs at full capacity during a product launch. No per-hour billing and no compute overages. You pick a plan and that's what you pay. If your app goes viral, your hosting bill stays the same.
Modular Upgrades
Need more RAM but your CPU is fine? Upgrade just the RAM. Running out of disk but everything else is good? Add storage. Most providers force you to jump to the next size and pay for resources you don't need. We let you scale individual components so you only pay for what actually matters to your workload.
No Vendor Lock-in
Your virtual machines use standard disk images you can download and move anywhere. No proprietary container formats, no migration fees, no 90-day notice periods. If you decide to leave, you take your data and your server images with you. We'd rather earn your renewal than make it hard to cancel.

Your VMs run on compute nodes we own in a Midwest datacenter with redundant power, cooling, and networking. We keep our node density low so your workloads have room to breathe. When traffic spikes, you are not competing with hundreds of other tenants for the same resources.
We chose the Midwest for low latency to most of the continental US and reasonable energy costs, which is part of how we keep pricing flat.
